![]() * When the Orbx installer asked me whether to install scenery into X-Plane or into the Orbx Library, I chose the Library. * When the Orbx installer asked me for file locations (especially where to create the "Library" folder), I specified a new folder I had created on the external drive for this purpose. ![]() ![]() * Set the location of the temp folder, as shown in Jon's message above. (I don't know how much it actually needed during the installation.) I also freed up as much space as possible on my system drive. * Plugged in an external drive that had 2TB space on it. Reinstall Orbx, but this time put the scenery files on a bigger drive. * Still in X-Plane's "Custom Scenery" folder, rename the "scenery_packs.ini" file to something (anything) for safekeeping and the rename "scenery_-Orbx" to "scenery_packs.ini". * Delete the Orbx-related folders from the "Custom Scenery" folder in the X-Plane installation folder. * Delete the Orbx-related folder (that is, the one with "Orbx" in the name) from my home folder. * Delete the Orbx Central app from my Mac by moving it to the trash from the Applicatons folder. Although I never received a space-related message from the installer (and it appeared to have finished successfully), I noticed that the free space on my system drive was 10MB (and other programs started to complain about it.) Selecting uninstall in Orbx Central didn't seem to help (nor even free up space). Thanks for the reply, Jon! It was indeed a drive space issue. Scenery_packs.ini from the "Custom Scenery" folder. It appeared to resume where it left off, as indicated by the progress bar. When I checked it this morning, the installer wasn't running. It appeared to be downloading and installing files normally. I left the installation running when I went to bed last night. There may have been an issue during Orbx installation. but a bit more: 1280 x 800, just like the 13-inch MacBook Pro. It appears that airports outside southern California (eg MSN) load properly. X-Plane 12 System Requirements Minimum Hardware Requirements: Disk Space. X-Plane 12 runs okay on the M2 MBA, which only very occasional stutters. I have a MacBook Air M2 and a MacBook Pro M1 Pro. For at least one southern California airport (L52), X-Plane simply quits unexpectedly without a message. The alternative is to buy the base Mac mini and then build up a windoze pc to run XP on, I just don’t want the hassle of two machines. Now when I try to start a flight at a southern California airport (eg, BUR or LAX), I get the message, "Error, could not locate image file for terrain." (See attached screenshot.) After I acknowledge the message, X-Plane quits. Installed Orbx Southern California last night
